Flu Vaccine

We have plenty of doses of influenza vaccine which are  available in the Health Center for all students, faculty and staff. It is the quadrivalent vaccine, which protects against 4 strains of flu, and is covered by insurance. Students, faculty and staff can make an appointment in the Health Portal to schedule. You will receive a consent form the morning of your appointment that will need to be completed prior to your scheduled appointment.

The vaccine is the primary way to prevent getting the flu. In addition, it is important to stay away from ill people and always wash your hands before touching your face. If you are ill, always cover your cough/sneeze (preferably in your elbow/sleeve and not your hand) - and stay home until you are fever-free for 24 hours.

If you believe you have influenza (sudden onset of fever and body aches, sometimes with cough or sore throat) you should seek medical attention within the first 48 hours of symptoms, especially if you have any chronic medical conditions.
