Goals/Plans: I joined SHAC because I believe it’s a small group of passionate individuals capable of making a meaningful impact. As SHAC President this year, I’m excited to give back to the Baylor community through volunteering, advocacy, and collaboration! I currently conduct research in tropical disease transmission and vector biology, as well as in sexual medicine and urology. After graduation, I hope to attend medical school to further explore these fields and refine my specialization. Outside of academics and research, I enjoy singing, dancing, drawing portraits, and exploring new food spots in Waco with friends!

Goals/Plans: After graduation, I plan to attend medical school to become a dermatologist, pediatrician, or some other healthcare profession that God leads me to pursue. Through my career path I hope to not only engage with and care for my patients, but advocate for accessibility of healthcare resources to everyone. I am excited for the opportunity this year through SHAC to engage with my fellow students, promote the wellbeing of the Baylor community and beyond, and grow the skills and experience needed to pursue my future goals in healthcare.

Goals/Plans: My goals after graduation include pursuing an MD/PhD and becoming a surgeon, most likely in the field of orthopedics/sports medicine. As this year's social media manager, I am thrilled to spread awareness about health and wellness via our social media platforms, and I aim to create new ways to increase outside engagement. I am beyond excited to represent SHAC, and I am looking forward to helping coordinate our events and addressing the importance of public health advocacy!

Goals/Plans: Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to help people. Becoming a Child and Development Psychiatrist is my dream. I want to be able to help adolescents and reassure them they are not alone in how they are feeling and/or what they are experiencing. I’m very excited to be a part of Baylor SHAC and start that difference within my peers and branch that out into my career and who I am as a person!

I joined the SHAC to actively engage in projects that work towards this goal and promote student well-being and increase health awareness on campus. My goal in my work of nursing is to dismantle the fear around death and provide humanizing care to individuals towards the end of life! Goals/Plans: After graduating from Baylor, I plan to attend medical school and eventually become a surgeon. Having a background in engineering, I want to eventually conduct the research, design, and clinical trials of medical devices. Outside of class, I love playing pickle ball, hiking, and going to local coffee shops. This is my second year as a member of SHAC, and I can’t wait for all of the events we have planned for this year!

Something I really connected with when joining SHAC was the push for awareness regarding basic healthcare. It is incredibly important for youth to get involved with their communities and explore what healthcare is out there for them, and I love that SHAC is deep rooted within that.

Goals/Plans: I plan to go to medical school in pursuit of becoming a dermatologist. I joined SHAC because I wanted to get more involved with student health on campus. The opportunity to work directly with Baylor helps us organize campus-wide events broadening our impact. The opportunity to work alongside smart, focused, driven people also made SHAC a great option for me.
